Seward Happenings: At-a-Glance

What Community-Building Events Does the PTA Sponsor?  Below is a list of PTA sponsored/funded annual events.

  • Back-to-School Social/Open House: August Gathering before school starts, providing students and parents a chance to meet teachers and classmates and eat ice cream!
  • Fall Annual Potluck Picnic: September Providing parents, students, and teachers a chance to meet and socialize once the school year has started.
  • Give to the Max Day: November  Support the Seward Sustainer Program!
  • Pits & Alleys: First or Second Saturday in December This fundraiser provides Seward kids a chance to play this beloved game in our gym on the first or second Saturday in December.
  • Book Fair and Read Around: February  A book sale with reading and writing activity stations kicks off Seward’s annual Read-a-thon in January/February. 
  • Rollerskating Night: February  A chance for Seward families to go rollerskating at the Roller Gardens.
  • Plant Sale: February ordering-May delivery This fundraiser is a perennial favorite among Seward Montessori families and the community. It’s held each May, just in time for Mother’s Day. Volunteer
  • Spring Event: May A fun community gathering for teachers, parents, and students. The theme of this event changes each year.
  • School Supply Fundraiser: May offers a chance to pre-order your child's school supplies and having them ready in the classroom on the first day of school!
  • Kindergarten Registration: June Kindergartners and their families have a chance to meet Children’s House teachers, see the classrooms, and complete the necessary enrollment forms.
  • Teacher Appreciation Lunch: June The PTA provides lunch for all teachers the day after school is out, as a way to say thank you for a great school year.
